So thats whats the fuss was all about. It was so hard to get somebody to sign up to come in to work on Sunday.
I guess my first inkling should have come when the secretary faxed a prospective candidate's resume to the VA and included where my oga Kpatakpata and DKS would be having dinner with the candidate. Well DKS was so concerned with "supper time" as he called it and I just could not understand why.
Finally he asked me "what time is the play off tomorrow?"
Me: "Play -what?"
DKS: "The Superbowl"
Me: "Oh! I have no idea."
DKS: "Well, I don't want to go to dinner with the candidate and miss the game"
Me: "Huh, I'll call C.(the secretary)
DKS: "Maybe you can take the candidate out so I can watch the Super Bowl"
Me: "Eh ..." (trailing off cos I couldn't think of what to say)
Finally we called C who told us they would be eating in a restaurant that had 2 large screen TVs and then DKS was finally pacified.
As for me, I got roped into working cos of this yeye Super Bowl thingie as nobody was willing to sign up but thats ok, sports is not really my forte. I get Monday off though and then Tuesday starts with an eval with Oga kpatakpata. I can definitely live without that particular meeting.
Anyway a practice tip from DKS ...
