Solomonisms |
Saturday, February 24, 2007 |
I'm off to Florida tomorrow for yet another job interview. I'm not really feeling this job interview but I'll go because the guy I spoke to was really cool ... and they are paying for everything (airfare, hotel, food) so why not?
But before I go, I'll leave you with some Solomonisms aka "practice tips" from DKS
1. Anticipate! 2. Be careful of the WIIFM (pronounced weefim)principle. WIIFM = Whats In It For Me 3. The "interruptions" are the job(s) 4. Attitude is 80% of life 5. Results not rhetoric 6. Never (x 13) give up! 7. Its not the thought but the action behind the thought that counts 8. The greatest mathematical formula ever invented is the compound interest formula 9. Do business in the hallways 10.Let your question/statement ratio be high (because you should never stop learning)
I hope y'all are having a nice weekend. Stay outta trouble! |

Whoever thought this up must have some solomons genes. It had to manage the WIIFM though when the pay issue comes up.
All the best!

About Me |
Name: lala
Home: Memphis, Tennessee, United States
About Me: I'm an introvert. I love challenges and the "path less taken". I have discovered that life more of a journey than a destination so I try to enjoy each day. And if you've never failed at anything then you haven't tried anything outside your comfort zone. Right now, I have a love/hate relationship with Memphis. I love the city because the people are very friendly but careerwise, this place will be a dead end for me.
